Hi! We are Tom and Tristan. We are born-and-raised Westport Dads who, between the two of us, have five kids under age 9. And we are the guys who finally got tired of driving an hour or more to find a good play space.

We were in search of an indoor space that wasn’t chaotic or overwhelming — just well-designed, well-run, and built for the way kids actually play. All over Fairfield County we would ask the same question: Why isn’t there something like that here? Nobody had a good answer. So we stopped looking, and we started building CHALK.

CHALK is our community and our commitment. It’s a destination built for early mornings, cold rainy days, and everything in between. CHALK is for the families who we see at school pickup and on the soccer sidelines and at the farmer’s market. We built CHALK for your kids the same way we built it for ours.

At CHALK, play is open, unstructured, and designed for kids to be just who they are: kids. They can invent games. They can make friends. They can disappear into their own world and come out sweaty, happy, and completely spent in the best possible way. Then they can come back and do it all over again.
